The first of two par fives at Leonay sees a comparatively wide fairway lined with large trees on either side. Two adjacent tees are used on this hole with the right tee requiring a slight fade in contrast to the straight shot from the left tee. Long hitters may reach a grass gully that funnels shots left and makes for a challenging second if the green is the target. Bunkers are in range for second shots and if position off the tee is not optimal, a lay up could be required. Paper-barks to the left of the green will punish any ball that misses in that area. The green is reachable in two shots but requires both strikes to be accurate.
