A thick line of trees to the left of the tee and an imposing Ironbark to the right presents the first of a couple of challenges on this testing par four. The fairway slopes left to right and shots can easily end up in the trees to the right if the high-side of the fairway is not favoured, although a boundary fence running along the left hand side of the hole can be intimidating. The green is not bunkered but missing left, right or long leaves a difficult shot due to the steep slopes faced from these angles. One of the few original greens remaining at Leonay; the twelve rolls as true as any on the course and rewards a good stroke on the right line.
